The Gyms -
With a wide selection of the latest fitness equipment, the fitness suites are split across four separate rooms, (two specifically designed cardiovascular suites, a body conditioning room and a weights specific room), each perfect for working on your complete body fitness. Whether you want to just get a little fitter, or have specific targets to achieve, our equipment and highly trained Personal Trainers can help you every step of the way.
Every new member is offered an Induction into using the club equipment by our high qualified and friendly club staff should they feel the need to have one. For those experienced with gyms, an induction is not compulsory and may jump straight in.
Our Personal Trainers offer excellent training programmes, tips, advice and Health Screening at very reasonable rates.

Classes -
Fitness Classes range from easy to follow workouts through to advanced pump and the latest indoor cycling routines. There is almost always a class running and our instructors are trained to some of the highest levels around. Non-members are welcome to attend classes at a small cost.
Squash -
With 3 courts, squash has always been associated with Riverside Sports & Leisure Club, and with teams in the premier division through to division 4 of the Gloucestershire winter and summer leagues, we are committed to providing some of the best courts in the county for our members.
We also have internal members leagues if you wish to challenge your friends, or see how you compare against team players. The squash scene is a competitive one, but also a friendly social one.
Non-members are welcome to hire squash courts at a small cost on the day.
Tennis-
With 5 floodlit courts, the only club with purpose built floodlit tennis courts in Gloucester, tennis has been associated with Riverside Sports & Leisure Club for some time.
Riverside Sports & Leisure Club has both Men's and Ladies teams who compete in the Gloucestershire Doubles Leagues. For those interested in tennis, everyone is welcome to attend club night. For players interested in team tennis, please contact admin@riversidesports.co.uk
Riverside runs club nights on Monday and Thursday evenings from 6pm to 8pm, and on Saturdays from 3pm-5pm.
Court Bookings - Members can book courts up to 7 days in advance, after 10am. Non-members are welcome to hire tennis courts with bookings taken on the day. Court bookings can be made by calling the club on 01452 413214. Flood light use is charged, with members benefiting from a discounted rate.
Badminton-
Within the new sports hall, we have 4 badminton courts available to hire Friday evenings, all day Saturday and Sundays. From just £3 a court per hour for members, and £6 for non members, hire of a badminton court comes with free equipment hire (nets, rackets and shuttle cocks).
Sports Hall -
Throughout the evenings and at weekends, Riverside has access to the new Kings School sports hall. The hall is available to hire for both block bookings and casual bookings. The hall is able to cater for a variety of sports such as 5-a-side football, basketball, volleyball, netball and badminton. We also run classes such as Zumba in the hall, and non members are welcome to attend for a small fee. To enquire about availability or to book casual use, please call Riverside on 01452 413214. Pool/Sauna/Steam -
If all of the gym and fitness classes leave you breathless, unwind in a peaceful, tranquil environment, away from the hustle and bustle of today's busy lifestyle. Our swimming complex with its swimming pool, sauna and steam room will gently soothe your cares away, with specific moonlight swimming every Friday evening. Pool dimensions - 20m x 8m x 1.2m.
Creche/Playzone -
Creche and Playzone cater for children from as young as 6 weeks through to 8 years old. Both are modern, safe areas for your children, where professionally trained staff will interact with the children and keep them occupied with activities such as painting, soft play and reading. Creche is open 6 days a week, typically from 9.30-11.30am, while playzone is open after school, on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays from 4.30pm-6.30pm, as well as weekend mornings, 9.30am-11.30am.
Sun Shower -
Top up your tan, or give yourself a base ready for that summer holiday. Riverside has a stand up sun shower, and is available for multiples of 3 minute sessions (maximum 9 minutes). Tokens can be purchased at reception with a maximum of 3 tokens per session (9 minutes). Discount is available if sessions are brought in bulk, buy 10 tokens and get 2 free.
