Having young children does not have to be an excuse not to work out here at Riverside Sports & Leisure Club.

The crèche is a safe haven for your little ones to play in while you swim, work out or take part in the wide array of activities and classes we offer. The crèche takes children from 6 weeks up to 5 years. With a modern, safe area for your children, professionally trained staff will interact with them and keep them occupied with activities such as painting, soft play and reading.

The Crèche is open Monday to Saturday, from 9.20-11.20am, and runs in line with our fitness class programme.

A small fee applies to the crèche at only £2.50 per child for the morning. For non members attending classes the charge is £3.50 per child.

For the older children, 4 – 8 years, Playzone indoor soft play area, is the perfect fun environment for them to run around and burn off that excess energy. A stimulating soft play area, complete with ball pond, slides and obstacles, even the 'big kids' enjoy this area.

Playzone is open Monday to Friday, from 4.30-6.30pm, and on weekends from 9.30-11.30am. Playzone also runs alongside our fitness class timetable.

Members are welcome to drop their children off in playzone free of charge. Non members are charged at £2.50 per child.

Before you know it they will want to come to the gym with you, then there's no excuse...

For those looking to get involved in exercise, the MAD programme, standing for Make A Difference to your child's lifestyle, runs after school and on weekends. Activities range from gym workouts to dance classes; and for those not so keen, there are also arts and crafts to keep your child stimulated and entertained while you work out too.

Child Members can participate in any MAD class for free, with non members charged a fee of £2.50 per class.

During the school holidays Riverside Sports & Leisure Club often run morning activities, typically from 9.30am onwarsds. These activities involve a mix of the MAD programmes, from healthy learning and gym based exercise to ball games and activities, followed by a fun play session in the pool.

A small fee applies to the holiday activities, with child members benefiting from a discounted rate.

Playzone is available to hire at weekends and in school holidays fro children's aged 2-8years parties. For only £59.99 you have sole use of the area for one hour, for up to 30 children to run around and go wild! Then serve your own food in the bar and function room area.
